What is AIS(Automotive Industry Standard) 140?
In order to increase and ensure the efficiency of the transport system the government of India has designed an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) under the Automotive Industry Standard 140.
To comply with the AIS 140 guidelines every commercial vehicle (with yellow number plate) will need to have a real time Navigation/GPS tracking system with emergency request (panic/SOS buzzer).
